Adam Leive is an Assistant Professor at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC-Berkeley. He is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a Fellow at the TIAA Institute, and an Invited Researcher at J-PAL North America. He studies how public policy can help households manage risks to their health and employment over their life cycle. His research uses both observational data and field experiments to inform the design of health insurance, retirement saving, and safety net programs. He is the recipient of the 2022 TIAA Institute Paul A. Samuelson Award for Outstanding Scholarly Writing on Lifelong Financial Security.
